History of The Gulistan House

Opened in 1979, The Gulistan House was the first Indian restaurant in Broughty Ferry, Dundee.

It now holds the record for Tayside's longest established Indian restaurant. Other such restaurants have since come and gone but The Gulistan House has stood the test of time and remains one of the finest eateries for Indian cuisine.

Following an intricate refurbishment programme the restaurant was opened with a completely new design and menu offering in 2002. Sourced from the Indian subcontinent, both traditional and contemporary art can be found complementing abundant and vibrant antiques. The overall impression since refurbishment is one of modern design, influenced by ancient Indian customs creating a fascinating blend of old and new.
